Minus the Imple: Inspirational Novel Now Available Worldwide!
Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Minus the Imple: Inspirational Novel Now Available Worldwide!
ROCHESTER, NY – Minus the Imple is a new novel, billed as a ‘fictionalized true story’, available now on all the major online retail booksellers, including Barnes & Noble (www.bn.com) and Amazon (www.amazon.com). The largely autobiographical tale is the debut novel by Rochester, NY author Robert R. Chandler.
The inspirational tale of Minus the Imple traces the life of a humble man from early childhood to the present day, and recounts the recurring unexplainable phenomena that punctuate his experiences. Written in an accessible style reminiscent of J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye, this is a true story about hitting rock bottom and battling back. It’s also a story about finding yourself and acknowledging the undeniable power of love.
“I’ve labeled it a ‘fictionalized true story’ because I want to be accurate in depicting the book’s two best features,” Chandler explains. The story is largely a memoir, according to the 50-something author, but names and actual venues have been changed and some elements of fantasy have been added for entertainment value. “The names of the characters have been changed, but all are based upon people who have greatly influenced me over the course of my life,” he adds. “I’ve bounced back from my lowest point to reclaim my identity and rebuild my life. Perhaps you’ve been there yourself, and know how it feels to be abandoned and alone.”
This novel (268 pages; ISBN# 978-0-6151-9772-2; Lulu.com ID #2035657), inspired by a random incident that occurred in 2002, has been a work-in-progress since 2004 and is now ready to be shared with the world. Minus the Imple is the first offering from Privileged Publishing, and is also directly available through Lulu at: http://www.lulu.com/content/2035657

Contribute Your “Coincidental” Anecdotes for possible inclusion in upcoming book!
Your anecdotes and stories can be part of an upcoming book I am working on! The theme is “coincidence” and I would like to invite you and your friends to contribute true stories for possible inclusion in the upcoming novel. There will be true stories about “coincidences” included (in a format/style as yet undetermined), possibly woven around a fictional tale, related to the general theme.
I am embarking upon a period of research and am gathering up anecdotes by many people. Your actual name(s) will never be published, but your stories may very well be included in this upcoming project. I cannot offer any monetary payments, but the possibility of one day seeing your story in print might be an enticing possibility.
Please check out the group on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=31125896304), and feel free to make multiple posts over time, and share the page with your friends and relatives.
Many thanks for your interest.
-Robert R. Chandler
P.S.- If you prefer to send anecdotes concerning “coincidence” directly to Robert R. Chandler, email them (include all details and your MUST include your name) to: mrdizz@rochester.rr.com
By sending an email or posting to the web page, you are indicating that you relinquish all rights to the information to Robert R. Chandler, and agreeing that he may edit the content for style and length as necessary.

Even more sites already are selling the book, in addition to Lulu.com, of course. The least expensive place to buy it is still Lulu, but now there are some alternatives that should help reach a much broader audience.
Please help spread the word to friends and potential readers, and you can tell them there are multiple sites that carry the book. Sales are still slow, but I have high hopes that things can improve, now that there are alternate sites carrying the book.
Thanks much for all the help.
PEACE,
Bob Chandler

A beautiful, heartfelt story about life, love, and the trials we all face along the way. Robert Chandler has crafted a magnificent piece of art, one that speaks to the reader with such hope and raw emotion. This book touched my heart and provided strength and inspiration in the darkest corners of my life.
Every word on the page draws you in with brilliant force that only Chandler can conjure. Hope radiates off the page, and the book leaves you with a full heart and a feeling of satisfaction.
You will not regret buying this novel. Robert Chandler has a priceless gift and such a marvelous way with words– I couldn’t put his book down.
Keep a sharp eye out for Chandler’s future works– his talent is too often overlooked.
Minus the Imple shines with brilliance.
Congratulations, Mr. Chandler, on a magnificent work of art that you should be proud of.

Early Interest in Book Provides Spark of Hope
Friends, I am disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm from those closest to me (other than a tiny handful including my daughter and a few special friends), but the immediate reaction from some external organizations has me feeling a little hopeful.
We received contact from a literary agency who read our preview and is interested in the book. They are currently reviewing the complete manuscript and have stated that they are intrigued about the potential of representing us. An online book distributor also contacted us and is very interested in selling the book through their online storefront. I’m on the fence with this one, but am weighing all the pros and cons. Another distributor has asked for a copy of the book, and I’m considering my next move after we have more conversation.
We are very happy with the two Press Release distribution services we have employed (at no cost or very nominal cost). PR.com and PRweb.com are both great to work with. Thanks to them, the press release for Minus the Imple is all over the internet, posted on US and Canadian sites… and beyond. Book sales on Lulu.com have been slow, but that is to be expected after only two weeks of availability. Some folks have purchased the download over the actual book, but we still managed to sell four copies of the book this past week. I have invested as much of my own money as I can currently tolerate, and thus, have given away about 15-20 copies of the book to friends and acquaintances. My hope is that most of these people leave favorable reviews, which will inspire strangers to look at the book a little closer.
Thank you for your support. If you are reading this, you are probably among those who actually want to see Minus the Imple succeed. For that sentiment, I am eternally grateful.

Wow!
by Joshua Cornala
This book is an amazing gem. It illustrates the dance between mere mortals and the essence that shapes us all. With honesty and humor, Chandler offers a beautiful tale of hope against all odds. Not your average hubris-filled narrative. Although it is likely not intentional, this work contains a brilliantly understated heroism just the same. This is an every-man novel that will surely connect with anyone who has a heart and ever suspected there is something beyond our physical existence.
